Alberta Arts District Portland Senior Photos

Taking Senior Photos on Alberta Arts District in Portland, Oregon is the perfect urban backdrop: it’s unique and colorful and since this street is constantly changing with time times, it’s likely that some of the places we shoot will be a time capsule of how this steet was on this very particular day.

I love Alberta Street for all of the amazing places to eat and shop and all the galleries for art-browsing. There are some great little bars and restaurants and a ton of great places to grab a coffee.

This Senior Photo shoot was especially fun: we got to wanter around Alberta in search of colorful walls and light filled backdrops; finding pink walls and some graffiti and blue doors. We found some greenery and worked with the light and found some much color to make this shoot a senior success!

Part of what I love about photographing seniors is that each shoot is like a mini adventure and we get explore different streets and notice places we had never noticed before. We get to stop in front of reflections in windows and create action-filled moments and make our own magic that continues on as the shoot unfolds.

On this particular day, the end of the summer light was amazing and the evening was warm and we found some blue walls and some empty street and restaurant facades decorated with fake merigolds. We found doorways and alleyways and some worn out graffiti walls and we could be spontaneous: shooting as we went along, without a real plan, following the magic as we went.
