Vancouver Maternity Photographer

I photographed these two in Vancouver, Washington for a little PNW springtime maternity shoot. We cruised past the farmers market and rhodies in bloom at the park; we walked along the sleepy streets and found colorful doorways and walls tucked away. These two wanted to shoot in their neighborhood so we made an adventure of it.

We headed out onto the streets and found some backdrops and sunlight.

There are so many cute little shops and restaurants in the ‘couv now, that its not hard to find sweet places to shoot

DOUBLE EXPOSURES

I love springtime adn all the flowers AND the opportunity to use flowers for double exposure shots

Sometimes i just mess around and see what comes of layering photos on top of one another, and often times the result is surprising

FINDING ALL THE SPOTS

sometimes on a shoot like this, you just have to keep your eyes open for unlikely places to take a few shots

we happened to walk by FIELDWORKS FLOWERS and the owner made us a beautiful bouquet to feature

MATERNITY PHOTOS AT HOME

i love taking maternity photos outside, in parks and on the street because the result can be eclectic and fun and you never know what you’re going to get

However, I also absolutely love taking maternity photos in people’s homes: that way we can showcase your space, and capture how it looks int hat moment, and show whats important

At home photos are intimate and its so special to have photos showing your space the way it looked before baby
