A senior session is the perfect way to capture YOU, just as you are, right in this moment, before everything changes. It’s an opportunity for your personality to shine, for you to be you in front of the camera: playful or serious; underneath tall trees or in front of a colorful mural, the sky is the limit and it’s a moment to hold on to, before you head off into the wild blue yonder of life…
The Importance of Senior Portraits
Having you senior photos taken isnt just any ordinary photoshoot—its a chance to celebrate this major chapter in your life and its an opportunity to show who you are in this very moment, to capture the ESSENCE of you
These shots capture your uniqueness and all of the things you’ve accomplished and all the chapters you have lived and all the moments that have let to this moment in time
I approach senior shoots with an artists mind and love getting the chance to get CREATIVE and PLAY—it’s an opportunity for you to be seen exactly as you are RIGHT now, as you get set to launch yourself into this wild world.
The Process
1. GET IN TOUCH! :: Reach out via my contact form or give me a call
2. PHONE CHAT :: We’ll set up a time for a call to talk about location (what speaks to you?!) and outfits (I generally say: pick 3!) and shoot date/time (do you want morning or evening vibes?)
3. SESSION :: Get ready to make some PHOTO ART MAGIC!
4. PHOTO TIME! :: Your gallery should be to you within 3 weeks after we shoot and you will be able to view all the photos and order directly from the gallery

Some Top Locations for Senior Shoots in Portland, Oregon
There are lots of things to think about when it comes to your senior shoot: what to wear, time of year you want to shoot, time of day…but one really important thing is figuring out WHERE you want to shoot.
I generally start with a few options for my seniors and ask them if they prefer urban or nature and then go from there: some have an immediate preference and some need to think on it and some come back and say they want a mix of both.
When it comes to Urban Senior Photo Locations in Portland, I love the SE Industrial area or Alberta Street are both vibrant, colorful areas with alot going on—every shoot that I do in these neighborhoods is different—I’m always noticing new places! If you want a mix of nature and urban, Sellwood Park is a great place to start, as there is the beach, the river and trees; then you can move to the cute Sellwood Downtown area for some more city vibes. Cathedral Park is beautiful and has a variety of backdrops, from the bridge to the river to lush greenery.
